Last year my husband accepted an overseas job that lasted for six months. I wanted to come with him, but we had some concerns about leaving our house vacant for such a lengthy period of time. We considered renting it out, but we knew that nobody would sign a six-month lease. I had heard about a company that manages Tahoe vacation rentals, and that renting out private homes was their specialty. We decided that this was the best option, and we were able to have our house rented out for nearly the entire time we were gone! It was very nice to have that extra income to put away in savings.
