The Fun of Beginning Piano Lessons
With nerves of steel, I approached my first piano lesson. “Beginning Piano Lessons” the sign had read, and I was hooked. I would be the life of the party, playing tunes for the delighted crowd. It would be just like a scene from “A Wonderful Life”. But, at the sign-in desk my nerves of steel melted. Fear took over as the instructor guided me to a little glass-windowed room for the first of my beginning piano lessons. However, when I found that proper bench sitting was part of the lesson, I began to believe maybe I could master this after all. Leaving the store, I was actually quite proud of myself—after all, I could sit on the bench and play the scale with one finger!
