When my arthritis got so bad that it really hurt to walk, I just started staying home most of the time.  This was very hard for me since I have always been very active and enjoy spending time with my children, grandchildren and friends.  I am so glad that my son was persistent about buying a battery mobility scooter.  He had talked to me about it many times, but I refused to use one.  I can’t really put my finger on the precise reason that I was resisting this, but thankfully I gave in.  My son helped me find one that was perfect for my needs and now I do everything I used to do.
