It seems like the days are going by really fast. Time seems to be moving by faster and faster, rushing through it all. Life is passing by.  And it seems to be going quicker than we might imagine.

Last December my family lost possibly the most interesting member of our family- Aunt Tabitha. She was my mother’s sister and although she lived a less conventional life to most, no one ever guessed what kind of interesting stuff she kept over the years. It was two weeks after her passing when my mother and sister asked if I could help clear out Auntie T’s house. We were going to take our time, but a private offer on her house was quick to arrive. In this economic climate selling a house is hard enough, so we jumped at the chance and put our personal feelings aside. First was the attic and this is the most exciting thing- Auntie T was a collector of ghost pictures! I found a whole album of them in a trunk! Most are obvious fakes, but there are a few that have me questioning. I plan on sharing them online.

My cousin Ted has been into sailing for as long as I remember. He joined the navy when he was eighteen and was with them for over twenty years. I guess the desire to be on a boat never left him. Last week he came over for dinner told me about an invention he had for sailboats. I liked his idea;however it was a little to technical for me. He told me he was looking at some global patent laws and decided he needed a lawyer to help him on this project. I like the fact he took some sound in initiative.

Over the years I have used different websites and different programs for my travel needs but I have not been able to depend on one in particular. It seems that one site is great for one thing but another site is great for another. I am now tempted to give maps google a try and see if that website can not accommodate all of my needs on one website instead of having to go to different locations to map out my trips, my short distance drives and even book some travel plans other then mapping. I am anxious to use the site.

There is a little known location up in the Smoky Mountains that I have explored on several occasions.  It is located on the west side of the park off of the Wears Cove Road.  What you will find there is the Little Greenbrier School and a pioneer grave yard. The access road is extremely narrow and rugged but is only about a mile or so long.  It is a very picturesque sight and I have always believed that the school house would be an excellent photo subject.  On two separate occasions I have attempted to photograph it but the resulting images never actually captured what I had pre-visualized.  It is just another example of Smoky Mountain nature that keeps me coming back.
